Spicy Devil’s chili jam

The spicy chili jam is a real treat for chili sauce lovers. The base of the sweet yet hot Devil's jam is made from tomatoes, and the spiciness can be easily adjusted by adding chili to your taste. Use it instead of barbecue sauce or ketchup, or add the jam to sour cream for a delicious dip.

Method

  1. Finely chop the chilies. Peel and chop the onion and garlic cloves. Add oil to a pot and quickly heat the chili, onion, and garlic.
  2. Pour the tomatoes with their liquid into the pot and crush by pressing them against the sides of the pot with a spoon. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mixture. Let the mixture simmer over low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Puree the jam with a hand blender until smooth if you like. Pour the finished jam into clean jars.
