Juri Ljaskin appointed Acting Country Director of Prisma in Estonia

Juri Ljaskin, currently Vice President responsible for supply chain management, store process development and sustainability, will assume the role of Acting Country Director of Prisma in Estonia. He is stepping into the position at an important transition period for Prisma Peremarket, when the company’s focus is on supporting its teams, ensuring operational continuity and maintaining strong performance.

Juri Ljaskin has held various senior leadership roles within SOK since 2014. In recent years at Prisma Peremarket, he has been responsible, among other areas, for supply chain, logistics, inventory management, workforce planning, store process development and sustainability, and is also a member of the company’s management team. His experience combines strategic vision, process development and practical execution.

“I am assuming the responsibilities of Acting Country Director of Prisma in Estonia during an important transition period for the company. My focus is on supporting our teams, ensuring continuity in our operations and keeping the business performance strong. I will continue building on the solid foundation and momentum established by Teemu Kilpiä, and I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the organisation. I greatly appreciate the trust and cooperation,” said Juri Ljaskin.

Ljaskin says that for him, it is important to create tangible value within the company by developing operations through people, processes and technology. As a leader, he values ambitious goals, high standards, and at the same time a supportive and developmental leadership style.

“Juri has valuable experience in developing Prisma’s operations and a thorough understanding of our company, our people and our day-to-day business. He has played an important leading role in several key areas, and I am pleased that he will take on the responsibilities of Acting Country Director in Estonia during this important period. I am confident that Juri will help maintain the continuity, clarity and team spirit that are so important for Prisma,” commented Ilkka Alarotu, Chairman of the Management Board of Prisma Peremarket.

Former Country Director Teemu Kilpiä has taken on the role of Managing Director of Original Sokos Hotel Viru.

A time of change at Prisma Peremarket

This leadership change comes at a time when Prisma Peremarket is going through an important transition phase, as on 7 April SOK announced a strategic cooperation agreement with Coop Eesti Keskühistu, under which AS Prisma Peremarket and its 13 Prisma stores will be sold to Coop. In addition to the change in the Country Director role, responsibilities have also changed in other areas. Prisma’s HR Director Marén Penu has taken over responsibility for Prisma Peremarket’s security, finance, IT and real estate management departments. Penu brings long-standing leadership experience and a strong background in human resources, organisational change and the development of support functions. Her role is to ensure that during this period of significant, but at the same time important and interesting change, the company’s support functions remain stable and continue to support day-to-day operations reliably and smoothly.
